The Kage Decentralized Private Data Storage Network
Leveraging the data and insights yielded from the V1 pilot stage, the Kage VPN Router v2 will introduce the new features that allow it to become the hardware layer for a comprehensive Decentralized Private Data Storage Network.
The Kage VPN Router v2 will come optionally equipped with additional NVMe storage that will include 1 terabyte of decentralized cloud storage using stealth military file encryption, and real time data encryption of more than 1 Gbps of internet traffic.
This upgrade will facilitate the rollout of The Decentralized Private Data Storage Network, leveraging the extensive network of over 20,000 routers worldwide. By converting these routers into nodes of a distributed storage system, Kage Network aims to offer a robust, secure, and scalable storage solution that complements its existing VPN services.
The v2 Router will be equipped with advanced software to enable decentralized storage functionalities. This software will handle data sharding, encryption, and retrieval processes. When a user uploads a file, it will be split into smaller encrypted shards and distributed across multiple routers in the network. This ensures that no single router holds the entire file, enhancing data security and privacy. The additional NVMe storage on the v2 units will provide substantial capacity and high-speed data access, improving the performance and efficiency of the storage network.
The integration of decentralized storage with the Kage VPN Router v2 offers numerous advantages. Enhanced data redundancy and fault tolerance ensure data remains accessible even if several routers go offline, mitigating the risks associated with centralized storage solutions. The geographic distribution of routers can significantly reduce data retrieval latency, offering users faster access to their data. Additionally, the high-speed NVMe storage will facilitate quicker data processing and retrieval, enhancing the overall user experience.
Security and integrity of the stored data are paramount. Advanced encryption techniques will safeguard data, while consensus algorithms will validate transactions and maintain data integrity. Incorporating blockchain technology will further enhance transparency and verifiability of network operations, preventing unauthorized access and tampering. The Kage VPN Router v2, with its decentralized storage capabilities and additional NVMe storage, will provide a comprehensive privacy and security service, protecting both users' internet traffic and their stored data. This innovation positions the Kage Network as the first hardware-based online privacy and security solution to meet the needs of the evolving technological landscape formed by the proliferation of AI, IoT and smart devices.
