# Staged Roll-Out

The Kage Network will be rolled-out in 3 stages:

**Stage 1 - The Kage VPN Router v1** - The Kage Network Router v1 offers all the features required to ensure the privacy and security of all devices in a user’s home in an easily-configurable, user-friendly, high performance manner. Stage 1 will focus on providing more cost-effective options to customers who purchase the router using Kage’s native $KAGE token. This is designed to attract a decentralized-minded customer base in order to lay the groundwork for Stage 2, which will focus on the creation of the decentralized private data storage network.

**Stage 2 - Decentralized Private Data Storage Network:** Once a customer-base of web3-minded users has been built out to complement the existing 20,000+ Kage VPN router users, Stage 2 of the roll out will begin. Stage 2 will introduce the v2 version of the Kage VPN router which will have the opt-in technical features required for owners to turn their VPN device into a node in Kage’s decentralized private data storage network. Node operators will then be able to earn a share of revenues generated by the decentralized network in the form of rewards paid in $KAGE tokens.

**Stage 3 - Ecosystem Expansion:** Once the decentralized private data storage network has been established, Kage Network will then start to layer in additional privacy-focused solutions to capitalize on its hardware-readiness and privacy-prioritizing customer base. This will begin with the development of software-based VPN apps for all OS. It will then expand to include options such as a disposable email service, an Android-based privacy-focused mobile operating system, blockchain mining chips built into the router chassis, and the infrastructure required to build privacy-focused blockchains on top of the Kage Network.
